Tanzania has a tropical climate, with hot temperatures year-round. The coastal region receives the most precipitation during its two rainy seasons, March-May
and October-November. Higher elevations experience cooler temperatures from June - September, and receive most of their scant precipitation during the December-April (rainy season).
Serengeti: Year round
December - March (winter months) is considered the wet season. Best time for large numbers of wildlife concentrated in the southern region, near Ngorongoro.
May - June (spring months) to view the migrating herds of wildebeest and zebra.
July - November (summer months) concentrated wildlife in the south and eastern region to complete their annual migration.
